Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has announced the One-Year MA in Development Studies (MADVSOY) for the July 2026 academic session.

About the Programme

The programme is offered by the School of Extension and Development Studies (SOEDS) and is designed to develop advanced knowledge and practical skills for professionals working in development, policy and social change.

Who Can Apply?

  • Graduates of Four-Year Undergraduate Programmes (FYUP)
  • Professional 4-year or 5-year Agriculture/Allied graduates
  • 4-year B.Tech or B.E. graduates from any branch

Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC) has launched the Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2026. It is a nationwide non-stop product development competition where students are presented with crucial real-world problem statements to engineer innovative digital and physical solutions.

To select and recommend the strongest student teams representing IGNOU at the National Level Smart India Hackathon-2026, IGNOU is organizing the Smart IGNOU Hackathon-2026 as an Internal Hackathon during September 2026. All interested and innovative IGNOU students are highly encouraged and invited to register and participate.

The last date for registration and proposal submission for the internal hackathon on selected problem statements is August 30, 2026.
